August 28, 2022
Join the Cobequid Young Naturalists Club to discover & explore the connection between blueberries and glacial geology, on August 28th 1:30pm – 3:00pm.
We will walk over kames (hills) and into kettles (depressions) that were created thousands of years ago as the Cobequid Hills Glacier melted away. Today, Cumberland County has the best soils for growing blueberries in all of Nova Scotia.
Meet at Fundy Geo Museum; from there we will car caravan to Lakelands, 7km north of Parrsboro.
The Cobequid Young Naturalists are a local chapter of the Nova Scotia Young Naturalists Club. CYN hosts events on the fourth Sunday afternoon of every month. A one-time $10 membership donation per family unit is encouraged but not necessary to attend events.
