Special Tour - Partridge Island: Landscape and Environment of Mi’kma’ki

This is a special tour by lead by Gerald Gloade, the Program Development Officer from the Mi’kmawey Debert Cultural Center.

Gerald GloadeAn artist and educator, Gerald shares the history in the landscape and environment of Mi’kma’ki with audiences of all ages. His stories and interpretations of the Kluskap legends in particular have captured many audiences. This special tour will focus on Partridge Island, and include ability to see the famous bubbling tides that occur here. Join this tour to learn about the legends of Kluskap and the traditional and ecological knowledge of the Mi'kma'ki, the Land of the Mi'kmaw.

Tour starts at 11:00 am, meeting at the Fundy Geological Museum. Participants then drive (own transportation) 5 km to Partridge Island and the special beach tour will be 90 minutes in length.

Cost is $15.00 per person plus Museum Admission. Children under 12 free when accompanied by an adult.

Sturdy shoes are recommended (rocky beach) and appropriate clothing as it is usually cooler along the coast of the Bay of Fundy.
